What kind of acne medication should I use?

I dont have severe acne, but rather blackheads or stuff stuck under the skin (which eventually leads to a zit). What kind of acne medication should I use?
Black heads don't come out on their own very well, even with a cleanser. You should get a professional facial every few months or so, and wash your face with a mild soap such as dove in the morning when you wake up, and before you go to bed at night. I also find that dabbing some natural tea-tree oil on the bad spots help tremendously for getting rid the under-skin pimples and any other bothersome pimples fast. What kind of acne medication should I use?
I would recommend using something that is an exfoliant. This will remove small amounts of skin, which means less blackheads and stuff stuck under the first layer of skin. A skin care specialist once recommended to me that glycolic acid is the best, since it is the smallest molecule, as opposed to AHA and BHA. NeoStrata was the brand I used, I found it quite mild but also effective.

Once you already have a zit, you need something different to get rid of it, like a benzoyl peroxide. Biore strips are pretty good for getting rid of blackheads that are already there.

If you incorporate an exfoliant into your daily cleansing routine, you will have less need for BP and Biore strips.
The following conditions usually lead to blackheads:

* Excess of oil on the pores - Stress, diet and hormone activitiy changes are major factors that can cause increase in the oil gland secretions.

* Excess of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, which blocks the pore openings.

* Use of skin care and beauty care products on the face that contain too much oil.

As you can see from the above, the main causes of blackheads are oily skin and blocked pores. To prevent and get rid of blackheads, keep the skin as clean and oi-free as possible. Here are some guidelines on how to get prevent blackheads:

* If you want to prevent blackheads, stop using oil-based skin care products and make-up. These oil-based products will clog your pores, increasing the chance of developing blackheads. You should opt for gentle, natural and organic based, oil-free and non-comedogenic (doesn't clog pores) skin care products and mineral make up products instead. The mineral make up use mineral powders and other natural ingredients which are good for your skin and doesn't contain oil, preservatives that can clog the pores.

* Clean your face in the morning and evening with a gentle, oil-free cleanser to remove excess oil from the face. Blackheads are not caused by dirt, so do not use hard, abrasive cleanser and do not scrape and scrub the skin harshly as it may cause damage to the sensitive skin and the pores.

* Perform body cleanse detox and take daily actions to remove toxins from the body - Toxins overload in the body may lead to imbalance of the hormone, which result in the oil gland producing excess oil. Take steps to remove toxins from the body by doing a colon cleanse, drinking adequate water, and eating food that is rich in fibers. Click here to find out more about body clease detox.

* Apply a mask 2 times a week to absorb the excess oil and to tighten the pores - You can use homemade mask made of honey and oatmeal.

* Steaming - Steaming is a effective way to deep clean the pores. The steam helps to open up the pores and allow you to remove dead skin cells, oils, blackheads. You can do this 2 times a week.

*Exfoliate to remove dead skin cells - Presence of dead skin cells can clog the pores, leading to blackheads and acne problems. Exfoliation helps to clear away the dead skin cells and excess oil. It can be done my mechanical (using liquid scrubs or cloths) or chemical means (using salicylic or glyolic acid). Salicylic Acid is actually the most recommended exfoliation agent, since it also helps to unclog pores whose openings have already been obstructed by sebum and dead cells. In this manner, your skin will be pimple-free for a longer period of time.

*Get enough sleep and rest - Stress can trigger excess oil production. Getting enough sleep and rest is the best way to control stress. Furthermore, sleep helps to rejuvenate the body and nourish the skin cells, giving you healthier and more glowing skin.

*Additionally, you should exercise and consume a healthy, balanced diet, and drink plenty fluid, all of which improves blood circulation, fights inflammation, and nourishes the skin for a healthy, radiant skin.

*You can also try use oil blotting papers. These are really good at absorping the oils and keeping your skin oil free, which is very important to prevent blackheads. Below are some of the oil blotting products that have good user reviews.
