Can putting on too much acne medication make your acne worse?

I use tretinoin (once a day), benzoyl peroxide (once/twice a day), clindamycin (twice a day), and cleaning pads in the shower (twice a day). Will all this just make my acne get worse? Can putting on too much acne medication make your acne worse?
Yes this can make your acne worse. You ought to not use so many medicated cleaners without the OK from your doctor. The excessive cleaning will leave your skin quite dry and irritated. If you feel that your acne is that bad, go to a dermatologist and get medication to ease your acne, instead of constantly cleaning your face.

What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

Hope this helps :)
Yes! Too many chemicals and treatments will dry out your skin, which will only irritate acne further.
It seems that the meds are appropriate. The only thing that concerns me is the cleaning pads twice a day. No need. All you require is to wash your face with a mild soap, unscented, in a bar form. Use you hands, do not scrub, ever. then just pad dry your face. You are doing something that will prevent scars on your face. you have a good doctor and he or she is on track. You should do fine. If the tretinoid causes any problems, let your doctor know. If you experience diarrhea, let him know (it could be the clindamycin). Otherwise, stick to you treatment, give it 6-7 weeks to see results. Remember, your doctor is not trying to fool you with quick fix treatments that never work. That is the treatment of choice.
