When putting on Acne medication should I put that first or moisturizer?

Which goes first Acne medication or moisturizer? When putting on Acne medication should I put that first or moisturizer?
Put your acne medication on wait 10 minutes for it to sink in and then put on your moisturizer. When putting on Acne medication should I put that first or moisturizer?
You should use the acne medicine first to make sure it is actually able to treat your skin and then moisturize after for your skin to stay hydrated.
Ance medication first
Medication first. Moisturizer may not be needed on medicated area unless it is part of your acne treatment

What kind of acne medication should I use?

I dont have severe acne, but rather blackheads or stuff stuck under the skin (which eventually leads to a zit). What kind of acne medication should I use?
Black heads don't come out on their own very well, even with a cleanser. You should get a professional facial every few months or so, and wash your face with a mild soap such as dove in the morning when you wake up, and before you go to bed at night. I also find that dabbing some natural tea-tree oil on the bad spots help tremendously for getting rid the under-skin pimples and any other bothersome pimples fast. What kind of acne medication should I use?
I would recommend using something that is an exfoliant. This will remove small amounts of skin, which means less blackheads and stuff stuck under the first layer of skin. A skin care specialist once recommended to me that glycolic acid is the best, since it is the smallest molecule, as opposed to AHA and BHA. NeoStrata was the brand I used, I found it quite mild but also effective.

Once you already have a zit, you need something different to get rid of it, like a benzoyl peroxide. Biore strips are pretty good for getting rid of blackheads that are already there.

If you incorporate an exfoliant into your daily cleansing routine, you will have less need for BP and Biore strips.
The following conditions usually lead to blackheads:

* Excess of oil on the pores - Stress, diet and hormone activitiy changes are major factors that can cause increase in the oil gland secretions.

* Excess of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, which blocks the pore openings.

* Use of skin care and beauty care products on the face that contain too much oil.

As you can see from the above, the main causes of blackheads are oily skin and blocked pores. To prevent and get rid of blackheads, keep the skin as clean and oi-free as possible. Here are some guidelines on how to get prevent blackheads:

* If you want to prevent blackheads, stop using oil-based skin care products and make-up. These oil-based products will clog your pores, increasing the chance of developing blackheads. You should opt for gentle, natural and organic based, oil-free and non-comedogenic (doesn't clog pores) skin care products and mineral make up products instead. The mineral make up use mineral powders and other natural ingredients which are good for your skin and doesn't contain oil, preservatives that can clog the pores.

* Clean your face in the morning and evening with a gentle, oil-free cleanser to remove excess oil from the face. Blackheads are not caused by dirt, so do not use hard, abrasive cleanser and do not scrape and scrub the skin harshly as it may cause damage to the sensitive skin and the pores.

* Perform body cleanse detox and take daily actions to remove toxins from the body - Toxins overload in the body may lead to imbalance of the hormone, which result in the oil gland producing excess oil. Take steps to remove toxins from the body by doing a colon cleanse, drinking adequate water, and eating food that is rich in fibers. Click here to find out more about body clease detox.

* Apply a mask 2 times a week to absorb the excess oil and to tighten the pores - You can use homemade mask made of honey and oatmeal.

* Steaming - Steaming is a effective way to deep clean the pores. The steam helps to open up the pores and allow you to remove dead skin cells, oils, blackheads. You can do this 2 times a week.

*Exfoliate to remove dead skin cells - Presence of dead skin cells can clog the pores, leading to blackheads and acne problems. Exfoliation helps to clear away the dead skin cells and excess oil. It can be done my mechanical (using liquid scrubs or cloths) or chemical means (using salicylic or glyolic acid). Salicylic Acid is actually the most recommended exfoliation agent, since it also helps to unclog pores whose openings have already been obstructed by sebum and dead cells. In this manner, your skin will be pimple-free for a longer period of time.

*Get enough sleep and rest - Stress can trigger excess oil production. Getting enough sleep and rest is the best way to control stress. Furthermore, sleep helps to rejuvenate the body and nourish the skin cells, giving you healthier and more glowing skin.

*Additionally, you should exercise and consume a healthy, balanced diet, and drink plenty fluid, all of which improves blood circulation, fights inflammation, and nourishes the skin for a healthy, radiant skin.

*You can also try use oil blotting papers. These are really good at absorping the oils and keeping your skin oil free, which is very important to prevent blackheads. Below are some of the oil blotting products that have good user reviews.

Is it ok to take acne medication if I drink alcohol every once in a while later in the day?

I'm in college but I recently broke out and I'll be taking the acne medication, Doryx. Is it ok if I drink alcohol later in the night after taking the pill earlier in the day? Also if I drink that night and the next morning I take it?Is it ok to take acne medication if I drink alcohol every once in a while later in the day?
ya its okiee.. jus wanna say... Anyhow, don't go out and buy those ';get rid of your acne in one day'; pills that you can find anywhere online, they just don't work and you will spend your money for nothing.

Why not? Well, because it takes time to get rid of acne and you will need at least one week to see any noticeable results. There is absolutely no way to treat your acne in only one day.

Natural home made skin care recipes is best for you. You can make it easily with available products in your kitchen and in home.

homemade acne treatment

Follow any 1 method below regularly

homemade acne treatment is to make a paste of honey with cinnamon and nutmeg. All you need is about one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and about half of it nutmeg powder. Add some honey to make enough paste to cover the inflammed area completely. Just lie down as honey may dribble down. Wait for 10 to 15 minutes and wash with luke warm water.

Can you ask for acne medication in a checkup?

I have a regular check up next month, and I was wondering if I could just ask for acne medication there, instead of making a appointment with a dermatologist, because i don't think my doctors offer that.

Can i?

And what would I say?

What is that Commercial for the acne medication for?

I saw this commercial on TV of this acne medication that I really need but I can't remember what it was called. The commercial went like this:

Teen was sitting in the middle of an aisle when a doctor walks up and tells him that acne was a medical condition and that he could get an OTC acne cream that was proven to destory acne. Side effects were dry or irritated skin etc. And you were supposed to avoid contact with the sun for a period of time.

Funny that I remember everything except the name of the medicine. What is that Commercial for the acne medication for?
I remember that too but I can't remember the name.... It starts with an E....

EDIT: EPIDUO! That's it!What is that Commercial for the acne medication for?
I remember that commercial too, but I don't remember the name. I have seen that soooo many times so it's weird that I don't remember the name either. Anyways, you could always try something else...like Clinche', or Proactive, or Clean%26amp;Clear, or just putting calamine lotion on your face. It dries up acne before it forms into heads and it really does work!! I do it all the time before bed!!
