benzoyol peroxide is more effective, but be careful because it also has a more intense drying effect on your skin.





i know from experience, so i'd say to try it and just have moisturizer on hand.
If you see your dermatologist, he can prescribe a retinoid, such as differin, antibiotics, such as clindamycin, or many other prescription solutions to acne. your dermatologist could also prescribe a higher concentration lotion of salicylic acid. Go see him, and see what he can do for you.
for me salicylic acid seems to work best. i think thats the best thing for acne

it is depending on your skin, everyone's is different, for me, i use DOVE gentle exfoliating soap. YEAH, soap. lol.

Benzoyl Peroxide is used more for acne but some individuals find it too drying to their skin. Benzoyl Peroxide does come in more strengths than Salicylic Acid so if your skin gets too dry, just try a lesser strength. If you try all strengths and nothing works, try the Salicylic Acid.
