Is it ok to bring acne medication (retin a) on an airplane?

Yes, it is. The TSA allows ';reasonable quantities'; of prescription and over-the-counter medication to be taken in carry-on luggage. (In other words, your Retin-A is not subject to the 3 ounce limit incorrectly cited by the first answer.)

You are allowed to put in checked luggage as well, just as you would any other item that is allowed to be checked. Is it ok to bring acne medication (retin a) on an airplane?
If you are bring that in your carry on it has to be in the original packaging and with the name on the prescription matching the name on your boarding pass.Is it ok to bring acne medication (retin a) on an airplane?
in checked luggage, yes.

in a carry-on, it has to be less than 3 fluid oz and in a quart size ziploc bag.

you can use glade or hefty or some other brand of zippy bag if you want, too.
